Our education projects aim to deliver an innovative range of enjoyable and safe learning experiences promoting wildlife conservation and inspiring young people about the natural world.

Inspiring All Ages

We work with children from early years right through to young adults. We run a wide range of activities, both in and out of the classroom. Our education sessions are designed to capture the enthusiasm of young people and nuture this, giving them the confidence to build skills and try new things. We build our programmes with years of experience and ensure they are curriculum linked, we also help schools with the Sustinable Schools Doorways and Eco Schools,

Outside Of The Classroom

We get children out into the natural world, learning about things through experience, with the help of our environmental education experts. You can talk to a child about pond species, even show them pictures, but give them a pond dipping kit and a little guideance and it's amazing how their enthusiasm sparks! We also work with school grounds, getting children  and teachers involved to make sure we create something that they can be proud of and give them the skills to maintain the areas, click here to find out more

Our School Grounds Guide aims to provide our project officers with an 'easy to use' resource for environmental education within school grounds which links to the current key stage 2 curriculum to use and share with our watch leaders, teachers and community groups.

You can download it here.

There are currently no hard copies of the School Grounds Guide available.
