Christmas Tree Planting
Event details
Tue, 07/02/2017 - 10:00am - 3:00pm
Join our Fylde Sand Dunes team and help us plant recycled Christmas trees to provide a crucial defence against sand and sea.
We are asking for dedicated volunteers to help us dig trenches for the trees, help to partially bury the Christmas trees and to cut branches to use as thatching on our chestnut paling fencing.
All ages and capabilities are welcome! There's something for everyone.
This year’s event will be located in two different areas. The first two days Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th will be held on the beach at North Beach Car Park.
This location is notoriously difficult to find, it is NOT near St Annes Pier. The car park is located close to the set of traffic lights at the junction of Clifton Drive North and Highbury Road.
Postcode: FY8 2TR
From Blackpool: The entrance to the car park is on the right, 100m after the set of traffic lights.
From St Annes: The entrance to the car park is on the left, around 50m after Todmorden Road on your left.
On Thursday 9th, we will be located on the beach at North Promenade Car Park, the car park located just north of the pier.
