Great Winter Nurdle Hunt

Event details

Thu, 08/02/2018 - 10:00am - 12:00pm

Come and join us on our winter mission to hunt out tiny nurdles of plastic in the sand on Crosby Beach!

Billions of tiny plastic pellets, known as 'nurdles' are lost into the UK environment each year. These can significantly harm marine wildlife once they make it into the sea.

The UK Government's ban on microbeads in rinse-off personal care products has begun, but we think the ban needs to be a lot tougher and include further measures to reduce all types of plastic pollution in the future.

That is why we are going to brave the cold to hunt out these nasty nurdles and record what we find!

No booking is required, just dress for the chilly winter weather and join us on the beach!
