In 2012 we celebrate our 50th aniversary. The Lancashire Naturalists Trust was set up by a handful of nature enthusiasts in August 1962. 50 years later, we have blossomed into the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside - a key organisation for wildlife in the region.
Protecting wildlife for 50 years
For the past 50 years the Trust has been working to protect wildlife for the future. Fighting to save wildlife havens, working in partnership to achieve the best possible results and raising the profile of environmental issues. All of this is made possible by the support of our members and volunteers. Read more about our history here
How you can get involved with the celebrations
There are lots of different ways you can get involved to celebrate with us and help us carry on protecting local wildlife for the next 50 years and beyond:
Our membership is crucial to supporting our work, join today and make a huge difference in your local area.
Your donation will help us continue our work into the future, keeping our local nature special for wildlife and people.
We want to hear about your favourite moments in nature. It could be your first encounter or a particular place or sighting, whatever sticks in your memory as a special moment!
Hold your own birthday tea party and raise funds to support our work in the process!
Leaving a gift in your will can help us continue to protect wildlife for future generations.
