Today The Wildlife Trusts launch 30 by 30, a public appeal to raise £30 million to start putting nature into recovery across at least 30% of land and sea by 2030.
Gardeners are being told to go peat-free as the climate and wildlife crisis lands in our flower beds and hanging baskets.
30 by 30 is an “audacious and courageous” ambition.
It’s always a concern of mine once a snowfall starts to freeze, for straight away I realise that the struggle to find food for birds, like the thrushes, gets so much harder than usual
