Eagle & Child Rammy is a stunning pub/restaurant/hotel located in Ramsbottom, which has gorgeous views across the beautiful nature of the Irwell Valley all the way to Holcombe. They also have an organic food growing area in their garden, with their very own feathery friends (chickens). They use many of these vegetables and fruit in their cooking and summer cocktails.
They also educate local children about healthy eating and food growing, and all of their rooms are named after owl species. They also provide great skills training opportunities for young people around the area. We’re really proud to say they are a gold membership supporter of the Trust and we love what they do!

As well as donating to us under the 'Patagonia 1% for the Planet Scheme', this year, all staff took part in a health and wellbeing day with our MyPlace team at Brockholes Nature Reserve. They also donated trendy beanie hats to keep our young people in the scheme warm this winter.
Siemens are now in their fourth year of a funded staff volunteering project with the Wildlife Trusts. At the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside we are lucky enough to have had over 1,000 staff to date visit our sites to complete work party days, and also our health and wellbeing offer at Brockholes.

The Lancashire Wildlife Trust manages Heysham Nature Reserve, part of the Heysham power station site, in partnership with EDF Energy (formerly British Energy).
The reserve was created in 1995 following construction of the Heysham power stations and supports a surprising diversity of wildlife. Open from dawn to dusk you are invited to explore the area and discover for yourself some of the abundant wildlife that lives there.
The site boasts a classroom which forms a base for hosting environmental education activities, supported by EDF for local schools and youth groups. EDF also run a business bird challenge each year in which Heysham has recorded high numbers of visiting species."
