Our Conservation Grazing Officer needs volunteers to help check livestock on certain days on various sites.

If you would like to count sheep (or cattle or ponies) in real life we might have just the opportunity for you! Our Conservation Grazing Officer needs volunteers to help check livestock on certain days on various sites, so if you live near to any of the sites below, can spare an hour or two, and would like to learn how to check the health and welfare of our conservation grazers, please read the full role description below.

To apply please complete our volunteer registration form (if you haven’t already) by clicking here, then contact Sian Parry at sparry@lancswt.org.uk to let her know which site you are interested in helping at and when. The sites you can choose from are:

  • Lightshaw (WA3 3UH)  – Wednesday, Saturday
  • Lunt Meadows (L29 8YB) – Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Freshfield (L37 7DY) – Sunday
  • Cutacre (M29 8PB) – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
  • Brockholes (PR5 0AG) – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (please contact Lorna Bennett at lorna.bennett@brockholes.org)
