In this workshop the children go on a habitat walk looking at the types of habitats we have on the reserve (e.g. lake/wetland, meadows and woodlands) and the different features of each of the habitats. We will explore the animals that live in each habitats and what they eat. The children will investigate the habitats using different survey techniques ID guides (classification keys) to explore and identify the different plants, birds and minibeasts/invertebrates found there. We can also cover life cycles and/or adaptations in our habitats session if you wish.
