In our pond dipping sessions the children work in small groups taking turns to pond dip. They will use our pond identification sheet to identify the freshwater invertebrates/minibeasts that they find. We can link pond dipping to life cycles, if you would like us to, learning how the pond creatures change during their lives. It is possible that in our pond dipping sessions we will split the children into two groups and have one group pond dipping whilst the other group does another self-led activity. The groups would then swap over part way through the session.
