The students can experience using quadrats/transects to sample ground flora and trees in the woodland or meadows.
This half day workshop offers an overview of the sampling methods. For KS4 and above, if you want the students to go into more details or gather data for coursework we would recommend the full day Wildlife Sampling/Survey workshops instead.
