Photography Competition Results – March 2024

Philip Hill

Signs of Spring was the theme for Marchs photography competition and the results are now in.

This March has been a rainy one but even with all the rain, there is still beauty to be found in nature. Throughout the month we saw nature and the landscapes around us begin to bloom as we welcome back Spring for another year.

We received so many entries this month that embody the theme of ‘Signs of Spring’ perfectly. From Daffodils to baby lambs taking their first steps in the world, Spring is a beautiful time of year.

Unfortunately, our judges can only pick one winner, a task that was extremely difficult this month as we received so many amazing entries.

The winner of March’s photography competition is … Paul Gray!

Harvest Mouse

Paul Gray

Titled ‘Harvest Mouse’ this photograph is just beautiful! Daffodils are one of the biggest signs that spring is on its way. The way that he timed this shot perfectly to capture this little harvest mouse as it perches atop of the daffodil in bloom, is incredible. Also, the surprised expression on this fluffy mouses face is a delight to see.

Lamb

Philip Hill

Second place goes to Philip Hill and his beautiful photograph of this little Lamb! This lovely little Spring arrival captured the hearts of our judges. We were really impressed with the composition of this image. The way that the grass frames the image with a slight blur really makes the lamb stand out and be the star of the show.

Frog and Frog Spawn

Gemma De Cet

Finally, third place goes to this fantastic photo of this swimming frog and frogspawn taken by Gemma De Cet. Our judges loved how clear this photograph is. This proud looking frog captivated our judges as it swims around protecting it’s young.

A huge thank you to everyone who sent in their wonderful images! To see all the incredible entries we received, please take a look at the album below. The winner will be contacted via email with details of how to redeem their £100 optics voucher prize.
