The Hive at Moss Bank Park

Based within Bolton’s iconic Moss Bank Park, The Hive offers a unique space, made up of a series of gardens adorned with natural play equipment.

Designed with pre-schoolers and the under seven’s in mind, The Hive encourages young people to make lasting connections with nature through creative play. The Hive has self-led play activities to inspire young minds, including water play, musical fun in our sound garden, bug hunting, den building, plus our mud kitchen.

The Hive will reopen for the 2026 season from Thursday 2nd April 2026 until Saturday 31st October 2026, The Hive will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday during this period from 10am to 3pm (last entry at 2pm).

Each Individual Day Pass costs £2.50 per person and provides entry to the site for one individual (adult or child). All visitors must have a ticket (babies under 6 months do not require a ticket). All children must be accompanied by an adult.

New for 2026: We offer two Family Season Pass options, one for a family of up to 4 and another for larger groups, of up to 8 individuals (includes any combination of adults and children).
