Connecting people to nature

Educating the next generation

Our Education Department is made up of a wonderful team of highly qualified specialists, with 40% holding a masters level qualification. Collectively we have 81 years of experience working within the Wildlife Trust, and have been delivering environmental education since 1994.

We have two fully-qualified teachers, two trained councillors, five LV3 Forest School Practitioners and an entire team that is outdoor first aid trained.

With 81% of children saying they would like to spend more time outside (Natural England), it is essential all children receive an environmental education and learn how to play outdoors. If people do not understand the natural world, they will not take the trouble to protect it.

We have a range of services to offer: from school trips to Forest School training to building school grounds, we're your one-stop environmental education shop!

I would like to thank all the Lancashire Wildlife Trust staff for their very professional, caring and inspirational help with our year 8 students. The students and school staff thoroughly enjoyed what was an excellent day.
