Artisan Markets at Brockholes

Located on the floating visitor village at our beautiful Brockholes Nature Reserve, our artisan markets have a wonderfully wild backdrop. The tranquil lake surroundings of our visitor village offer wildlife sightings such as swans, ducks, roe deer and sometimes even an otter or a kingfisher! 

Brockholes is a former quarry which has been transformed into a haven for wildlife by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust. We are easily accessible from the M6, based just off junction 31. During school holidays, our visitor village becomes a hub of entertainment for families with crafts and activities in the visitor centre, nature trails and events such as magic shows. On a sunny weekend, we can expect to see up to 3,000 visitors. 

We are inviting local makers, creators and businesses from across the North West to showcase their products and create a brilliant, unique market at our fabulous location. Our markets are usually held in school holidays for maximum footfall. 

Bonfire Night Events and Christmas Markets

We have a packed schedule of events lined up for the festive season and you could be part of the action! 

Bonfire Night Events

Join us from 5pm to 8pm on the 5th or 7th November for our Bonfire Night events where we will welcome around 800 people onto our visitor village for a cosy evening of family entertainment. 

Christmas Markets

Our popular Christmas Markets return to Brockholes this year from Saturday 28th November and will be running each weekend throughout December up until Christmas. We're looking for stallholders to showcase their products and become a part of our festive fun at Brockholes. We will have lots of family entertainment each weekend including our Father Christmas Grotto, Breakfast with Santa, themed children's crafts and we will even have Alpaca petting on selected dates!

Will your small business fit in with our markets and eco-ethos? 

We welcome any local people with stalls offering sustainable, handmade, crafty and arty goods, as well as photography, jewellery, kids toys, flowers, homemade breads, jams, home-grown fruit and vegetables, second-hand or handmade clothing and upcycled items. 

As a wildlife conservation charity, we ask that stalls reflect our values and therefore, are not able to accommodate stalls selling the following kinds of items:

• Drop shipped or mass produced goods (e.g bulk 3D-printed toys, mass produced canvas art or fast fashion).
• Branded cosmetics or direct-sales/MLM products.

Food stalls: we can only accept cookies, fudge & sweets, packaged breads, cakes, or jams & chutneys. A food hygiene certificate is required for anyone selling food or drink. Alcohol stalls are considered by direct application only, via brockholes@lancswt.org.uk.

All stallholders must have public liability insurance, and PAT testing for any electrical equipment — please bring printed copies of both on the day.
