A-Z Workplace fundraising ideas

Looking for a fun way to bring your team together and support local wildlife? Whether you're planning a one-off office fundraiser, a team challenge or a workplace-wide campaign, these ideas can help you raise money for Lancashire Wildlife Trust.

Every pound raised helps protect wildlife, restore habitats and inspire more people to take action for nature across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and North Merseyside.

A – Auction of promises

Ask colleagues to donate skills, treats or experiences, then auction them off to the highest bidder.

B – Bake for wildlife

Host a bake sale, cake competition or coffee morning and ask colleagues to donate for a slice.

C – Corporate conservation day

Swap the office for the outdoors and spend time helping nature through one of our corporate conservation days.

D – Dress down day

Invite colleagues to dress casually, wear green or choose a wildlife theme in return for a donation.

E – Eco challenge week

F – Five-a-side fundraiser

Organise a friendly football match or mini tournament with team entry donations.

G – Guess the wildlife

Run a quiz using wildlife photos, tracks, feathers, sounds or fun facts and ask people to donate to enter.

H – Hour of pay for habitats

Encourage colleagues to donate the equivalent of one hour's pay to help protect local wildlife.

I – International food day

Ask colleagues to bring in dishes inspired by different places and donate to enjoy a shared lunch.

J – Jumper day

Choose a seasonal jumper day, wildlife jumper day or "wear it wild" theme and collect donations.

K – Kilometres for nature

Create a fun series of workplace challenges, from paper toss to step counts, with teams donating to take part.

P – Plant sale

Sell houseplants, seedlings, herbs or wildlife-friendly plants and donate the proceeds to local wildlife.

Q – Quiz night

Host a wildlife quiz, general knowledge quiz or online team quiz with a suggested donation to enter.

R – Raffle or prize draw

Ask colleagues or local businesses to donate prizes and sell tickets in the office or online.

S – Sponsored walk

Bring colleagues together for a sponsored walk through a local green space, nature reserve or workplace route.

T – Team challenge

Set a shared target, such as 1,000 miles in a month, 10,000 steps a day or a collective fundraising goal.

U – Upcycling sale

Sell pre-loved books, plants, clothes or homeware and donate the proceeds to local wildlife.

V – Volunteer and fundraise

W – Wildlife spotting challenge

See who can record the most birds, bees, butterflies, wildflowers or signs of wildlife over a week.
