Education outreach visits

Making learning wild!

Allow us to bring the curriculum to life, and inspire learners with the wonders of the natural world, without leaving your own site. It doesn't matter what your school grounds are like, we want to encourage you to get outside, and make learning hands on and fun!

Outdoor learning has proven benefits for children’s mental and physical health and wellbeing, as well as improving attainment, engagement with school, and making learning more memorable. We want to encourage all children to spend more time learning in nature, developing a love and desire to protect our natural world. However, we also understand the pressures to deliver the National Curriculum, so our outreach sessions are designed to support and enhance classroom learning.

We offer both one-off outreach visits, and more in-depth 6-week programmes, suitable for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Learning outside in the fresh air refreshes your brain from stress. Working outside and listening to the birds helps your mental health.

One-off visits

Our experienced Education Officers have developed a range of workshops to help you explore the habitats and nature on your own doorstep. From bug hunts to food chains, environmental art to seasons. We are also happy to develop workshops upon request, simply contact us to discuss your requirements.

Outdoor learning programmes

We can work with you to develop a programme of 6 weekly outdoor sessions to really cover a topic in-depth and bring learning to life. Previously we have developed programmes covering habitats, the Stone Age, living things and their adaptations, survival skills and more. If you have a topic in mind, get in touch and we can tailor-make a programme suited to your needs.
