Livestock Checking Volunteers – Longworth Clough Nature Reserve

Livestock Checking Volunteers – Longworth Clough Nature Reserve

Location:
We are looking for volunteers to help us keep an eye on Exmoor ponies at Longworth Clough Nature Reserve. Following training, helpers are needed to carry out weekly checks during the week or weekend between June and October.

Position details

Frequency:

Weekly

Training will be given in how to behave around livestock and what signs to be aware of to ensure that the animals are grazing in a safe environment.

Each checker is to visit the site once a week to check the health and welfare of the livestock grazing there and this takes around an hour.

This is a great opportunity to spend time at this peaceful nature reserve, enjoying nature whilst checking the animals, making sure the fences are intact and keeping an eye out for any other reportable issues.
