The Education Department
of this Wildlife Trust aims to:
- Deliver
an innovative range of enjoyable and safe learning
experiences promoting wildlife conservation and
sustainability.
- Provide
advice, training, curriculum support, resources
and opportunities to schools, community groups and
others.
- Work
in partnership with other organisations and communities
to promote the enjoyment and understanding of the
environment and sustainability issues.

"life long learning" opportunities to all age groups

Penwortham
Environment Education Centre

The Education Centre provides a series of exciting
and interactive environment and heritage education
programmes. These include pond-dipping, mini-beast
hunts, 'Virtual vikings' and seasonal events.

Wildlife
WATCH
Wildlife Watch is the UK's leading environmental action
club for kids. Young people can become a member of
their local club where they can have fun learning
about wildlife.
Trailblazers
Trailblazers is an exciting project designed to foster
the environmental leaders of the future. The project,
currently in its first year, is aimed at 16-25 year
olds, unleashing the passion and enthusiasm of young
people.

Grounds Guide
This guide aims to provide our project officers with
an ‘easy to use’ resource for environmental education
within school grounds which links to the current key
stage 2 curriculum to use and share with our watch
leaders, teachers and community groups.
