The Education Department
of this Wildlife Trust aims to:
- Deliver
an innovative range of enjoyable and safe learning
experiences promoting wildlife conservation and
sustainability.
- Provide
advice, training, curriculum support, resources
and opportunities to schools, community groups and
others.
- Work
in partnership with other organisations and communities
to promote the enjoyment and understanding of the
environment and sustainability issues.
- Provide
"life long learning" opportunities to all age groups
and abilities.

Penwortham
Environment Education Centre
L.C.C. Registration No. EV159
The Education Centre provides a series of exciting
and interactive environment and heritage education
programmes. These include pond-dipping, mini-beast
hunts, 'Virtual vikings' and seasonal events.
Outreach
programme
The Education Centre also a dedicated outreach officer
who will travel to your school or community centre
to deliver a comprehensive range of environmental
education programmes.
Wildlife
After School Project (WASP)
WASP is an innovative wildlife education project that
runs after schools clubs in 12 Lancashire schools.
Education
for a Greener Future (EGF)
EGF is a waste minimisation project offering outreach
education to schools and community groups about the
3 Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) and composting.
Climate
Change
The climate change project delivers free education
sessions about climate change to schools within Lancashire.
Wildlife
WATCH
Wildlife Watch is the UK's leading environmental action
club for kids. Young people can become a member of
their local club where they can have fun learning
about wildlife.
