Our Corporate Members:

why become a corporate member?

Corporate membership of the Wildlife Trust is good for the environment and good for your business.

Social responsibility enhances corporate reputation. The Wildlife Trust team works hard to achieve constructive two-way partnerships. We can provide a professional service, which will deliver real commercial benefits and public recognition, for your company.

Working with The Wildlife Trust can help your company:

improve customer loyalty
enhance brand value, increase sales and market share
motivate staff and suppliers, and heighten loyalty
enhance corporate and brand image
increase sales performance
access networking opportunities
attract positive media coverage

Corporate Membership is the vital first step in a long-term partnership that may include:

Sponsorship
Donations
Employee Schemes
Cause related marketing

sponsorship

The Wildlife Trusts is proud to have developed a number of very strong business partnerships with a wide range of organisations, both large and small. Please note: Sponsorship is subject to VAT, as we promote your name and brand.

Current partnerships include:

United Utilities (Lapwing magazine)
BHP Billiton (Classroom at The Barn and Urban Biodiversity Conference)
Recycling.co.uk (Membership Leaflet)
Gro Green Compost (Mosslands Appeal Leaflet)

Current project available include:

Annual Review
Business Cards
Education Project Officer
Community Project Officer
Conservation Project Officer
Wildlife WATCH Co-ordinator
Nature Reserve Leaflets and Interpretation Boards

donations

Corporate donations, and gifts in kind, play a key part in our work for wildlife. Companies also help wildlife when taking advantage of 'Gift Aid', to offset corporation tax, normally paid to Inland Revenue. For example a corporate donation of £7,690, with 'Gift Aid', is worth £10,000 to The Wildlife Trust and our work. Please Note: Donations are not subject to VAT, as we do not promote your name or brand.

Gifts in kind are invaluable and provide an inexpensive way for any company to give support. Examples of in-kind support are the gift of:

Office furniture
IT equipment from computer-recycling.co.uk
Personnel secondment
Cars
Health and safety , First Aid or Management Training

consultancy

Corporate partners value our holistic approach to environmental work and our expertise. As well as direct support for projects and activities, The Wildlife Trust has worked very closely with corporate partners to help them deliver business objectives. These include:

company Biodiversity Action Plans
staff training days
visits to Wildlife Trust reserves
joint responses to local authority or Government consultation papers
landscaping and environmental management
work on planning applications and development schemes

employee schemes

Volunteering benefits staff morale, motivation and commitment. Employees learn new skills, feel a strong sense of personal achievement, and develop as team players, whilst having a direct and positive impact on their local environment.

Give As You Earn (GAYE) is an excellent tax-free way of supporting The Wildlife Trusts. The scheme, which is easily established, can help improve internal communications, and generate positive publicity.

cause related marketing

The Wildlife Trusts understand and appreciates the benefits achievable for both wildlife and business. Research proves the vast majority of consumers are more likely to buy a product associated with a cause (price and quality being equal) and to develop a more positive image of a company.
