One of the many brilliant things about Lancashire Wildlife Trust volunteers is their self-sufficiency. Volunteers want to get out straight away and make a difference. However, because of the nature of our sites, activities and that many volunteers want to survey on their own or in small groups, there are lots of health and safety risks.
The Wildlife Trust has a responsibility to help volunteers understand and access our Health and Safety policy and guidance but volunteers are also responsible for acting within it. Please take time to read the section which are relevant to you. If you would like to discuss anything further please contact us.
This section also contains information which is useful for you such as the Volunteer Handbook, Expenses Claim Form, Volunteer Signing-In sheet (to help you submit hours that you take part so that we can use them for reserve management and funders) and other useful links. This section aims to give you all the information you need before you go out and get stuck in.
