If you would like to Volunteer with the Trust, we have a wide range of opportunities, ranging from practical conservation to helping to inspire children about nature!

    Our ‘Connecting to Nature’ Project at Heysham Nature Reserve has opportunities for volunteers to help with the preparation and/or delivery of events which will increase the use of the site and raise awareness of its wildlife.

    Our Conservation Grazing Officer needs volunteers to help check livestock on certain days on various sites.

  • Location: Brockholes Nature Reserve, Preston, PR5 0AG

    Volunteers will have the opportunity to work alongside MyPlace Project Officers to deliver environmental activities with young people. In addition to the outdoor based opportunities, volunteers can also be involved in the social media presence, promotion and evaluation of the project.

  • Location: Summer playscheme based at Phillips Park Local Nature Reserve (Bury). Transport can be provided from Bolton ERC, 499-511 Bury Road, Bolton, BL2 6DH (or pick up arranged at Whitefield MetroLink)

    A Phillips Park Summer Playscheme Assistant will work alongside one of our community engagement officers to engage, inspire and have lots of fun with children in the fabulous outdoor setting at Phillips Park Local Nature Reserve (Bury) over the summer holidays!
