Urban Greenspace

‘Urban Greenspace: a place for people and wildlife’ was a Wildlife Trust project funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government Special Grants Programme and the Big Lottery Fund. We supported Wildlife Trusts across the English regions who were working with communities involved in their local urban greenspaces.

PLiP workers

productive landscapes in preston project (PLiP)

PLiP works in partnership with Preston City Council to co-ordinate a Local Nature Reserve Project and the Productive Landscapes Project both of which help to raise awareness to protect and enhance the local environment.

East Lancs Community workers

east lancashire local nature reserve project

Developed by the Trust, the project aims to raise awareness and promote the use of locally important wildlife sites through community nomination and involvement throughout East Lancashire.

ribble valley local nature reserves project

The project centres around the two Local Nature Reserves in Clitheroe encouraging involvement with local schools and community groups. Also building up a group of volunteers who are able to help with practical management work on the reserves.
