The Manchester Festival of Nature is the place for people to meet the wild plants and creatures that inhabit the city and its surroundings, organised by the Manchester Nature Consortium.
The message was loud and clear at the 2026 Manchester Festival of Nature – Manchester loves nature.
The annual summer event at Heaton Park was packed with thousands of families thirsty for knowledge about the nature on their doorsteps and the work being done to keep it there.
It is a gathering of conservationists where we can share ideas and celebrate our successes with people who appreciate all we are doing.
The message to decision makers and influencers is that nature is a high priority to a huge percentage of the people that matter most, the people of Manchester.
MFoN is a place to learn while having fun, so there was dancing, singing and lots of people took part in the Legendary Pollinator Parade, to a musical accompaniment.
Lancashire Wildlife Trust is asking 1 in 4 people to take meaningful action to help reverse the decline in nature, and MFoN is introducing our work to people we haven't reached beforeThe Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside

Huge thanks to Heaton Park and the team for giving us the best possible venue for the Manchester Festival of Nature.
We really love to see thousands of people coming along to MFoN and getting involved in nature
