Join our Bog Squad for a fun, rewarding day of sphagnum moss planting at Aushaw Moss - one of Lancashire’s beautiful upland peatland sites!

You’ll be helping to restore these vital habitats, locking up carbon, improving water quality, and supporting rare wildlife.

We’re aiming to plant 10,000 plugs of sphagnum moss every month - and we need our Bog Squad to help us smash that target!

Whether you’re a seasoned conservationist or completely new to this kind of work, we’ll provide all the tools, training, and expert guidance you’ll need. The Lancashire Peat Partnership team will be with you every step of the way.

What to expect: A rewarding day of hands-on conservation with the Bog Squad Expert tips and guidance from our restoration team Beautiful views of Lancashire’s uplands The chance to help protect an internationally important peatland habitat.

You’ll need to be 18 or over to take part. A reasonable level of fitness is needed.
