Directions
From Preston:
At the roundabout of the M6 J31 and A59 go straight over under the motorway signed A59 to Blackburn. Stay in the left hand lane. Just before the traffic lights, take the FIRST exit signed “Brockholes Nature Reserve” heading north over the river (adjacent to the off-ramp slip road). Follow this road left, round doubling back and under the slip road bridge to the site entrance.
From M6 North Bound:
As you come off the motorway get in the middle lane. At the roundabout turn right, signed A59 to Blackburn. Stay in the left hand lane. Just before the traffic lights, take the FIRST exit signed “Brockholes Nature Reserve” heading north over the river (adjacent to the off-ramp slip road). Follow this road left, round doubling back and under the slip road bridge to the site entrance.
From Samlesbury and South-bound off the M6:
From Samlesbury – At the roundabout of the M6 J31 and A59 you need to go all the way round the double roundabout as if you where going to head back along the A59 towards Samlesbury. As you come round the roundabout past the Tickled Trout Service Station stay in the left hand lane. Just before the traffic lights, take the FIRST exit signed “Brockholes Nature Reserve” heading north over the river (adjacent to the off-ramp slip road). Follow this road left, round doubling back and under the slip road bridge to the site entrance.
From M6 Southbound:
As you come off the motorway turn right at the roundabout towards Preston. Stay in the right hand lane and continue around the roundabout, As you come round the roundabout past the Tickled Trout Service Station stay in the left hand lane. Just before the traffic lights, take the FIRST exit signed “Brockholes Nature Reserve” heading north over the river (adjacent to the off-ramp slip road). Follow this road left, round doubling back and under the slip road bridge to the site entrance.
Arriving by bus

Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve

There is currently no parking change at Lunt Meadows.
Directions
From Preston
Join the M6 heading southbound towards Wigan. Continue on the M6 and exit at junction 26, Orrell Interchange. Stay in the left hand lane as you exit the motorway, then take the first exit at the roundabout. At the next round about take the second exit onto the M58. Follow the M58 all the way until it comes to an end.
As you exit the M58 stay to the left. Be aware that this is a busy junction with lots of different lanes. The left lane will separate into 4 lanes going round the roundabout, keep right (the 4th Lane) at the first lights. Continue in this lane at the next set off lights, turn right and then get into the left-hand lane to go directly across the roundabout onto Broom’s Cross Road.
Alternatively, keep to the right when leaving the M58 as if you are heading straight on into Bootle (the furthest lane to the right), then do a U-turn at the lights at Copy Lane police station and drive back up and enter Brooms Cross Road from a slip road on the left-hand side.
Follow along this road until you come to the first set of traffic lights. Turn right onto Brickwall Lane into Sefton Village. Take the left onto Brickwall Lane, just after the lights at the cross road. At the end of this road turn left onto Lunt Road. Follow along Lunt Road until you see the sign for Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve on your right hand side (the reserve is quite a distance down this road). Turn onto the reserve and follow the road to the car park.
Arriving by Bus
Lunt Meadows can also be reached by public transport on bus number 133 from Waterloo Interchange or Kirkby Bus Station. Get off the bus at the Lunt Lane Stop.

Directions
From M6
Journey along the M6 until you come to Junction 27. Exit the M6 at junction 27 and take the first exit if north bound or third exit if southbound. Take the second right onto Moss Lane and continue along this road round the bend onto Robin Hood Lane. Turn right onto High Moor Lane. Continue onto Whittle Lane and Bannister Lane. Follow the bend round to the left then turn right onto Maltkiln Lane. Turn left onto Green Lane and continue to the end of the road then take a right turn onto Hall Lane. Continue along this road. Cross over the bridge and railway onto station road, continue along this road until the end. Turn left onto Liverpool Road then take the first right onto Holmes Road. Continue along this road until you come to the sign for Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve on you left. Turn here and continue down the lane to the car park.
Arriving by Bus
From Rufford, take the 347, 764 or 883 buses and get off at the Mere Sands Wood buss stop close to the entrance of the reserve.
For those travelling between Preston/Southport/Ormskirk the 2A bus passes through Rufford, stopping near the Hesketh Arms. Walk from the bus stop along Holmeswood Road on the left-hand side until you come to Cousin’s Lane. Walk along this road until you come to path alongside the cricket club. Follow this until you reach the reserve.

The Hive at Moss Bank Park, Bolton
The Hive is located behind The Café at Moss Bank Park.
To access The Hive, go through the café and exit via the doors at the back of the café. Follow the path up the hill using the steps or ramp. Follow the path to the right past the green house and tower then turn left and follow the path round to the entrance to The Hive.

Parking Information
There is a small car park next to the café for close access. There are also 2 other car parks around the park that you can use. Parking at Moss Bank Park is free. To find the Hive, follow the signs for the café as we are located behind here.
