About the event

This workshop has been designed to introduce beginners to the intriguing world of wildlife in miniature. It will be held partly in the classroom and partly outside on the reserve. There are almost 25,000 species of insect in Britain and we will start with an overview followed by a look in a bit more detail, hopefully as a start to developing your interest further. By the end of the day you will have an overall appreciation of the insects of our area, will have learnt how to distinguish different kinds and how to identify a few common species
