About the event

Join us for this family-friendly walk as we head out along the edge of Kenworthy Woods to identify and locate the bats that call your local area home. Using bat detectors you will be able to listen out for their echolocation calls, that are usually too high pitched for us to hear.

We will start with an engaging talk full of fascinating bat facts, before we set off on the walk and see how many bats we can detect. You will also be helping to record local bat populations providing vital data about how the bat population is faring.

So come along, learn more about bats, enjoy being outdoors and connect with the nature on your doorstep.

Please note that we can only run the bat walk in good weather so please provide a mobile phone number so that we can contact you in case we need to cancel the event.
