About the event
Join us at the Learning Centre at Lunt Meadows for an exciting talk about barn owls, featuring a meet and greet with a growing owlet.
Our passionate barn owl expert will teach you all about barn owls, their development, abilities, and behaviour, plus answer any questions you have about these fascinating birds. At these talks, you will have an opportunity to hold the owl (on a glove).
This talk is part of a series of 6 sessions about barn owls at the Learning Centre. If you would like to learn more and watch the owlet as it grows up over the summer months, we advise that you book onto additional dates – there is so much to learn about barn owls that you’ll learn something new at each talk.
The available dates and times are:
Tuesdays, 6pm-7.30pm 13th May, 27th May, 10th June, 24th June, 22nd July and 5th August.
Please note that this is not a wild owl, it is captive, with all the relevant documentation from DEFRA and the independent bird register. The owner has permission from LWT to bring a captive owl to the Learning Centre. It will not be flying on the nature reserve, as per the operational procedures of the Trust.
