About the event

This half day course will take you through safe tool skills to make a mallet and tent pegs.

We will be sawing, splitting, whittling and shaving. You will also learn how to sharpen tools.

No experience is necessary, as it is more about the process than the product. Refreshments will be provided.

This event is open to adults and children 8 and over. Anyone under 16 must be supervised by an adult. The supervising adult does not need a ticket if they are assisting the young person, but not planning on making their own item. However, if the adult is wanting to make something themselves, they will need to buy a ticket.

Please bring a kneeling mat if you think you will need one. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy outdoor footwear (walking boots are recommended).
