The North West Optics and Outdoors Show is a free two day event with a focus on binoculars, scopes and photography equipment. In partnership with Viking Optical and In Focus, there will be plenty of opportunity to try and purchase world leading optics brands including Swarovski Optik, Zeiss and Leica.

Set in the tranquil lake surroundings of our floating visitor village at Brockholes, the North West Optics and Outdoors Show will have everything you need for your outdoor hobby. The event will have a focus on optics with the opportunity to try binoculars and scopes from world leading brands.

With talks from leading conservation experts, guided walks and lots of outdoor themed stalls to browse including outdoor clothing, photography equipment, outdoor hobby equipment and more. If you love everything outdoors, this event is not to be missed!

Bring the whole family along, there will be plenty to keep the kids entertained including activities and crafts. Children love exploring our family friendly walking trails and swinging, climbing and sliding on our huge outdoor adventure playground where they can play safely whilst you relax on one of our picnic benches. 

Kestrel kitchen will be open throughout the weekend with a selection of food, drinks and delicious homemade cakes, baked freshly by our wonderful team. Enjoy your brew with stunning lake views and wonderful wildlife. Keep an eye out for mute swans, kingfishers and otters which have all been spotted from here.

Brockholes is a former quarry which has been transformed into a haven for wildlife by the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside. The reserve is made up of a variety of habitat including woodlands, wetlands and meadows and our key species in June include hobbies, swifts, sand martins and visiting ospreys.
