Ben Abbott

We are looking for an experienced Events & Conference Manager to join our busy commercial team at Brockholes Nature Reserve

Lancashire Wildlife Trust is looking for a new member of staff to join our Commercial Department, based predominantly at our flagship site, Brockholes Nature Reserve just outside Preston, one of the largest and most popular nature based visitor attractions in the North West, home to a unique floating visitor village with a beautiful conference, wedding and event venue.

We also operate sites at Rufford, and in Bolton, where we've recently opened a new café and event room at Queen's Park and have just secured funding for a brand new heritage visitor centre, café and event space at Moses Gate Country Park. There's never been a better time to join the team, as you'll help design and plan the events, conferences, and weddings across this growing network of sites.

Brockholes has built a reputation as a premium location for conferencing, weddings, and events, but our conference and events business has now overtaken weddings in scale. We still host around 15–30 weddings a year, but the real growth is in events, and our schedule of activities gets bigger and more popular every year.

We're looking for someone with experience of or real passion for events planning and delivery, who'll take the lead on planning and assisting in delivering our existing events schedule while also dreaming up new events and activities for our visitors.

For an informal chat about the role, email Edward Bailey with your best contact telephone number at ebailey@lancswt.org.uk

We offer 28 days holidays plus bank holidays per annum, increasing with length of service. A friendly and flexible working environment with the chance to be a part of the largest nature conservation body in the area, working together to improve our region for nature as well as engaging and inspiring people to connect and take action for wildlife.
