Our Supporter Care Charter
Group walk by Zsuzsanna Bird
The Lancashire Wildlife Trust works to ensure that exceptional standards of supporter care are delivered across its supporter base at all times.
Without our supporters, the charity would not be able to champion wildlife and natural places, to engage and inspire people and to promote sustainable living.
We are working to conserve and enhance Lancashire's, Manchester’s and North Merseyside’s rich and varied wildlife, delivering conservation gains through our network of nature reserves and wildlife sites and by engaging with communities, working with landowners, farmers, local authorities, business and young people.
Our fundraising methods
As a charity, we don’t receive any direct funding and we rely heavily on income raised through a variety of fundraising methods.
The majority of our fundraising is carried out by a small in-house team, some of which are salaried staff and some of which are commission-based. We also have a number of volunteers who fundraise for individual areas and projects.
In order to maximise the effectiveness of our fundraising and ensure the best outcome for wildlife, we also use a small selection of carefully vetted professional fundraising companies. We monitor each campaign very closely to ensure that the quality of these professionals meets our very high standards, and those set by the Fundraising Regulator.
If you have any more questions about how we fundraise, or you would like to update how we contact you, please feel free to get in touch membership@lancswt.org.uk
