All 3 posts will be based at Lancashire Wildlife Trust Offices:
1 at Burnley
2 at Brockholes
These posts are part of the Myplace project, which is funded by ESIF and The Big Lottery Fund and which aims to provide environmental volunteering opportunities for people who are facing multiple disadvantages, thereby increasing their skills and confidence that will support progression into further skills development or employment.
Target participants will include women, older people, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities and young people.
Applicants should be proactive and creative in supporting Project Officers with planning practical sessions that are inclusive and accessible for people from “hard to reach” communications while maintaining good levels of retention and facilitiating the personal development of our participants.
Our Trainee Placements will have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, able to contribute to the successful delivery of targets and be able to collaborate with a range of partners, Trust colleagues and groups in order to assist with effective site based project delivery.
In return, the successful applicants will receive training and development opportunities as part of the exciting and innovative Myplace project and will have the opportunity to make a real difference to local people’s lives.
