Meeting point

Once parked please make your way down to the beach via the slipway on the left-hand side of the car park (if you are facing the sea). We will meet you on the beach by the saltmarsh (Grid reference: SD 32443 27898 / What3Words: shades.frame.strapping)

About the event

Grab your buckets and spades and venture down to the beach for a "fin-tastic" adventure in crafting marine-themed sand sculptures! Let your imagination run wild as you conjure up creatures like crabs, dolphins, sharks, turtles, or even mermaids. With prizes awaiting the most impressive creations, don't hesitate — reserve your spot now and begin planning your marine masterpiece!

FREE to you - Our events are subsidised by our funders (Environment Agency). However, donations to the Wildlife Trust/Fylde Sand Dunes Project are always gratefully received in order for us to keep running our wonderful events free-of-charge.

Additional booking information

Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for the beach.

There are public toilets on-site that require 40p to access to please bring a couple of 20 pence pieces with you should you wish to use the toilet facilities.

If you can no longer make this event after booking, please "refund" your ticket(s) so they can be released for others to book.

Dogs

On a lead

Furry friends are welcome to this event but please be mindful of other people's sand sculptures and keep dogs on a lead or under close control. Thank you!

Mobility

The event doesn't involve extensive walking. Attendees should assess their mobility to determine if they can comfortably access the beach from the nearby car park. While traditional wheelchairs may not be suitable due to soft sand, Fylde Council offers beach wheelchair rentals for accessibility.

What to bring

  • Change/bank card for car park, toilets and donations
  • Appropriate footwear and clothing for the beach (wellies and puddlesuits are recommended)
  • Change of clothes.
  • Refreshments (however there is a café nearby if you prefer)
  • Bucket and spade (if you have some – if not we’ll have plenty you can use so don’t worry!)
  • Your creative mind to build a wonderful marine-themed sculpture!
