Brockholes Privacy Statement

Brockholes is owned and managed by The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside.

The Trust takes great care of any personal data you provide us with. To read the Trusts overall privacy statement click here.
When you provide us with your personal details, we will ensure they are stored securely and only used for the purpose you provided them.

Our Visitors 

If you signed up or opted-in to the Brockholes E-news, we will keep you up to date with the latest news, events and special offers – but we promise not to bombard you. All of our marketing is carefully planned to ensure you aren’t contacted too much, or too little (we wouldn’t want you to miss out). If you have filled out a Comments card we will keep details such as your postcode, date of visit and any comments you make so we can improve our service, but after 12 months all of your personal data will be deleted, unless you sign up to our E-news,

Booking an event

If you are booking onto an event, we will record your personal details and then delete them after the event unless you choose to opt-in. If you are booking an event online, we use a third party service called Skiddle, you can read their privacy policy here

Business
If you use Brockholes for your business events, you will no longer receive our Business e-news unless you opt-in here. We will still contact you with information relevant to your original booking or enquiry, we will keep it relevant and get straight to the point.

School and community groups
When you enquire about bringing your group to Brockholes we will keep your information safe. For insurance and health and safety purposes, we will keep details of your visit securely on file for the period dictated by the relevant legislation, but we will only store personal details where absolutely necessary.

Weddings
We will only contact you with information directly relevant to your booking or enquiry and your personal details will be deleted within two years of the date of your last payment. If you do want to hear about the latest wedding special offers and events, you will need to opt-in here

Volunteers
As a registered volunteer of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust, you are helping make our work possible. Because of the nature of Brockholes, we will only keep your data for 6 months if you aren’t actively volunteering, after this period we will get in touch, but if we don’t hear back from you we will remove your records.

Changing how we get in touch
You can change your contact preferences at any time by emailing info@brockholes.org or calling us on 01772 872000. Every e-news we send will contain an unsubscribe link at the bottom so you can opt-out of these at any point.
