About the event

This fungi foray will take place at Longsight Park in Bolton where the mix of grassland and mature beech and birch woodland provide some fantastic habitat for fungi species.

We will meander throughout the site with our local expert guiding us, keeping our eyes peeled for any mushrooms we come across so that we can try and ID them. Any edible species can be harvested for a special fry up at the end of the walk!

This walk is perfect for novice foragers, families and mad mycologists and everyone in between as we dive deeper into the fantastic world of fungi.

Due to the limited spaces on this walk, booking is absolutely essential and please ensure you are able to attend before booking.

The meeting place will be in Longsight Park car park, off of Longsight Lane in Bolton.

Please bring weather appropriate clothing, footwear and refreshments.
