About the event

Throughout the day, with experts on hand to help, there will be displays of fungi, microscopes to examine them and lots of other information about what fungi are and do. This will be set up indoors if the weather is wet.

The two short fungal forays will be led by local experts along woodland paths of Mere Sands Wood. You can see something of the wide range of fungi, hear how they form partnerships with trees and see what they do with dead wood. Learning about fungi can be a lot of fun!

Café facilities and toilets are available in the visitor centre
