Wooden Stool making with Shaun Roberts
Wooden Stool Making Workshop
About the event
Spend a day slowing down and making something that will last.
In this workshop, tutor Shaun Roberts will show you how to use traditional hand tools to turn raw timber into a simple, sturdy stool. Working at an unhurried pace, we’ll split, shape, and fit each piece by hand, learning time-honoured techniques while surrounded by trees and birdsong.
In the Greenhouse Project's wood workshop there’s space for quiet focus and conversation and you’ll leave not only with a stool you’ve made yourself, but with a deeper sense of calm, confidence, and connection to the craft and the land.
Shaun is a Blackburn-based tutor who is trained and experienced in Bushcraft techniques and has a love of all things wood; he creates bespoke furniture and runs woodworking workshops and courses.
The Greenhouse is unheated, so please wear warm and practical clothing and ensure you have sturdy footwear that will protect your feet while working.
