About the event

Join us for a guided walk through our reserve, focusing on spotting a wonderful variety of butterflies! We will walk at an easy pace, stopping at various points to appreciate these beautiful insects.

Please meet in the Visitor Centre/Cafe, which will be open to purchase refreshments before and after the walk.

The session will be approximately 2 hours long and will comprise of a meandering walk through the best butterfly habitat on the reserve.

Some of the walk will be on accessible stone paths, but mostly we'll be leaving the path, walking over grassy terrain to access different habitats. Therefore, please wear suitable walking shoes or boots, along with appropriate clothing for the weather.

£6 per adult(16+). Children under 16 FREE. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Additional £4 parking charge applies per vehicle.

Under 16's do not need a ticket, however please state the number of under 16's in your party when booking.

A £4 parking ticket must still be purchased per vehicle from the ticket machine, located at the entrance to the visitor centre.

Mobility

We will be leaving the stone paths during the walk, accessing different habitats via uneven, grassy terrain. This walk is therefore not accessible to those with reduced mobility.
