Get outdoors this summer and learn bushcraft skills with Greene Fox at Brockholes. Perfect for children and families, these hands-on sessions are packed with adventure, creativity and practical outdoor skills.
Choose from a fantastic range of workshops throughout the summer holidays, including Wild Play, Stone Age Bushcraft, Fire Lighting Skills, Whittling, Wild Cooking, Bushcraft Medicine, Wild Art and Minibeast Adventures. Activities vary by session and may include den building, campfire cooking, woodland crafts, nature art, bug hunting, shelter building, foraging and traditional bushcraft techniques.
With sessions suitable for a range of ages and abilities, there's something for every young explorer. Most activities take place outdoors, so please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear.

- Sessions range from 2 to 2.5 hours
- Prices from £12.50–£25 (depending on the workshop)
- Some sessions require children to be accompanied by an adult – please check individual ticket details before booking.
- Advance booking is essential as places are limited.

| 25th & 26th July | Wild Play Session - A fun filled outdoor session including activities such as den building, making nature inspired art, woodland games and toasting marshmallows over a campfire. | 1:00pm to 3:00pm | £12.50 per child. |
| 1st & 2nd August | Stone Age Wild Play - A stone age themed adventure featuring den building, drill your own pendant, making and using natural paints and campfire activities. | 10:30am to 12:30pm | £12.50 per child (must be accompanied by an adult) |
| 1st, 2nd, 15th & 16th August | Fire Lighting Skills Workshop - Discover up to five traditional fire-lighting techniques in this hands-on bushcraft workshop. | 1:00pm to 3:30pm | £12.50 per child (suitable for ages 5+ and must be supervised by an adult) |
| 8th, 9th & 23rd August | Wild Play Art Session - Create beautiful artwork using nature including eco-clay, leaf printing and woodland paints. | 10:30am to 12:30pm | £12.50 per child (children must be accompanied by an adult) |
| 15th August | Wild Cooking Workshop - Cook three delicious campfire treats using traditional bushcraft techniques (no marshmallows this time!). | 10:00am to 12:00pm | £15.00 per child |
| 16th August | Bushcraft Medicine Workshop - Discover useful woodland plants through foraging before creating herbal tea, a smudge stick, a natural poultice, traditional "painkiller" and a tincture. | 10:00am to 12:00pm | £12.50 per child (suitable for ages 5+) |
