Mischievous Tree-Troll’s Grotto Takeover & Nature Trail
Brockholes Nature Reserve,
Just off Junction 31 of the M6, Preston , Lancashire, PR5 0AGAbout the event
This Christmas Eve, something very unusual is happening at Brockholes…
A mischievous Tree-Troll has been spotted around the Nature Reserve!
We think he arrived by accidentally hitching a ride on Father Christmas’s sleigh from the North Pole—where he looks after all the Christmas trees! When Father Christmas stopped off to give his reindeer a weekend break at Brockholes, the Tree-Troll must have stowed away…
Now there’s a rumour spreading:
He’s taking over Father Christmas’s grotto for one day only.
Children can step inside his messy, silly, woodland-themed grotto, meet the Tree-Troll himself, and even whisper any last-minute Christmas wishes. He’ll pass them straight to Father Christmas that night when he returns for his reindeer!
Expect giggles, playful chaos, and a nature-loving twist.
The Tree-Troll hates Christmas (too many trees indoors!) but he absolutely loves Brockholes—and he’s raising money for a very good cause - our charity!
Your visit includes:
- A magical meet-and-greet with the Tree-Troll
- A special gift for each child
- A cheeky extra surprise!
- A festive Xplorer Nature Challenge to enjoy around the reserve
Perfect for families looking for something different, funny, and delightfully mischievous this Christmas Eve.
