From the skill of the photographer to the funny title ‘Toad in the Hole’, our voters loved this photograph and thought that it encompassed this month’s theme perfectly. This fantastic shot was captured at Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve and clearly captures all the detail of these two toads’ distinctive markings.
One voter said, ‘To catch two mating Toads in reduced light is amazing!’ and another added that it is a ‘Fantastic picture. Funny title!’
This month’s runner up is John Hegarty and this beautiful photograph titled ‘Heart of the Valley’. This sunset at Lunt Meadows is wonderful to see. The way that he positioned his camera so that the light forms a heart as it fades into the night, is really impressive.
One voter added that its was ‘magical especially for valentines’ with another adding that ‘it is a beautiful sunset shot. I like the uniqueness in seeing a heart’
