About the event

Based within Bolton’s iconic Moss Bank Park, the Hive offers a unique space, made up of a series of gardens adorned with natural play equipment.

Designed with pre-schoolers and the under seven’s in mind, the Hive encourages young people to make lasting connections with nature through creative play. Features such as our mud kitchen, magical willow domes and our water play installation will inspire the imaginations of young minds.

Each Individual Day Pass costs £2.50 per person and provides entry to the site for one individual (adult or child). All visitors must have a ticket (babies under 6 months do not require a ticket). All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

The Hive is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am until 3pm (last entry at 2pm). All Individual Day Pass Holders will receive a 10% discount in the Moss Bank Park Café on the day of their visit.

Save Money and Upgrade to a Season Ticket: If you think your family might be regular visitors to the Hive the most cost effective option is to purchase a season ticket. Priced at £50 this will give your family (up to 4 individuals) unlimited access to natural play until Saturday 31st October 2026. For larger groups (of up to 8), season passes are priced at £75.
