Bio-diversity & habitats in an educational setting

For over a century the Wildlife Trusts have been saving wildlife and wild places, increasing awareness and understanding of the natural world and deepening people’s relationship with it. The Nature Works team can help you to meet your climate action plan objectives by supporting you to take positive action for nature by drawing upon the wealth of knowledge and experience available to us. We help 20,000 children engage with nature each year and manage 1300 hectares of land for wildlife. There’s no-body better placed to help you take action for nature.

We can advise and implement ways to boost the biodiversity of your setting, from wildlife ponds to rain gardens to wildflower meadows to bird boxes and hedgehog homes.

Forest school and outdoor education

Outdoor education encompasses a wide range of learning experiences undertaken outside, whether it’s reading a book outside or an oversees expedition, planning and the curriculum play a key role.

Outdoor learning is adult-led, often with a more structured approach and desired learning outcome(s). Taking education outside the classroom in your own setting provides children with opportunities for experiential knowledge; this practical style of study can improve engagement and make education more memorable. Spending more time outdoors in nature also helps to decrease stress and anxiety, and has scientifically proven benefits for both physical and mental health.

We provide a range of solutions and products that may be used for both Forest School and Outdoor Education.
