Your gardens are making a difference
A gap beneath a fence. A dish of fresh water. Seed heads left standing through winter. On their own, these actions can seem small but together, they are creating something remarkable.
Since our My Wild Garden survey launched in spring 2023, supporters across Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside have been telling us about the ways they welcome wildlife into their gardens, yards and balconies.
As of 11 August 2026, you had recorded an incredible 50,413 wildlife-friendly actions.
What actions are you taking in your garden?
Each one can provide something wildlife needs, whether that’s food for a hungry pollinator, water for a visiting hedgehog or a safe place for an insect to shelter. Together, they are helping to turn our neighbourhoods into a growing network of spaces where wildlife can feed, rest, breed and move more freely.
Thank you to everyone who has shared their garden with us so far. Let’s take a closer look at what you have achieved.
