About the event

For the Atlantic Salmon & other migratory fish, survival can be very difficult – sometimes impossible. The River Lune contains many of the challenges that they face in the UK – some of them for two hundred years or more! Richard Jardine will focus on the Salmon's life cycle and their dangerous journey including a brief history of the changing Lune and it’s impact on salmon followed by the conservation work that various organisations are carrying out & the future outlook including what people can do to help.

We are a friendly, local group of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust who meet throughout the year to share our interest in the natural world. Our wildlife talks are held in the Church of the Ascension hall, Michaelson Avenue, Torrisholme, LA4 6RH at 7.30pm on the second Friday of every month from September to March. Anyone who enjoys nature is welcome. Entry is £3 (includes free refreshments).
