Brockholes Nature Reserve,
Just off Junction 31 of the M6, Preston , Lancashire, PR5 0AG
About the event
We are looking for local makers and artists to join us for our Bonfire Night events and Christmas Markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase and sell your products on our floating visitor village at Brockholes Nature Reserve.
We have an exciting opportunity for stallholders to join us for our Bonfire Night events which will take place in the evening. Our market will add to the cosy atmosphere as families enjoy kids entertainment, marshmallow roasting, traditional carnival games and our bonfire.
We will also be running our Christmas Markets alongside our ever popular Father Christmas Grotto by the Lake! With various Christmas themed events running throughout these weekends, we expect our visitor village to be full of families looking for a festive day out.
Come and join us, showcase your products and help us provide a festive and cosy atmosphere!
Dates:
5th & 7th November - 5pm-8pm - our very popular Bonfire Evenings
28th & 29th November - 10am-4pm
5th & 6th December - 10am-4pm
12th & 13th December - 10am-4pm
19th December - 10am-8pm - we have our Grotto during the day, and the main event, Saturnalia, during the evening, which normally brings around 700 people on the Village
20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December - 10am-4pm
Our Christmas Artisan Markets are opened from 10am-4pm, and for certain dates in the evening too, and we provide tables for indoor stalls. Each stall holder is provided with a 6ft trestle table. If you think you would need more space, please email us separately.
If you would like to be based outdoors, you would need to provide your own cover, like a gazebo, to be protected from the elements.
We love to welcome local people with stalls offering sustainable, handmade, crafty and arty goods, as well as photography, jewellery, kids' toys, flowers, homemade breads, jams and the like, home-grown fruit and vegetables, clothing, second-hand clothes, and upcycled or artisan items.
As a conservation charity, we ask that stalls reflect our values and therefore are not able to accommodate stalls selling the following kinds of items:
- Drop shipped or mass produced goods (e.g. bulk 3D-printed toys, mass-produced canvas art, fast fashion).
- Branded cosmetics or direct-sales/MLM products
Food stalls: we can only accept cookies, fudge & sweets, packaged breads, cakes, or jams & chutneys. A food hygiene certificate is required for anyone selling food or drink. Alcohol stalls are considered by direct application only, via brockholes@lancswt.org.uk.
All stallholders must have public liability insurance, and PAT testing for any electrical equipment — please bring printed copies of both on the day.
Not sure if your stall fits, or have any questions? Just get in touch at brockholes@lancswt.org.uk — we're happy to chat it through.
Please note: stalls that arrive without the required certificates, or with items that don't fit our ethos, may be asked to leave on the day.
