Our volunteer, David Merry, has been reminiscing about his childhood fascination with bringing wild treasures home in his pocket.

On July 31st at 11pm, only weeks after our dog died, I first sighted the hedgehog in the rockery and took a close-up photograph with my mobile.

To get my wildlife badge at Brownies, I decided to make a bug hotel. I made it out of old bits of wood, and used some leftover green fence paint to make it blend in with the garden.
